LA-style salsa is the style of salsa dancing popularized in Los Angeles and is one of the most popular forms of salsa dancing in the world. In LA-style, salsa dancers take their break step on the first count of the measure (on count 1), which is why it is also referred to as on1 salsa, vs on2 for New York-style. On1 salsa dancing is often considered a good style for beginners to learn since the on1 timing is typically easier for new dancers to pickup than on2 salsa timing.Jeamie Lee

Contemporary Description
Contemporary dance is a form of dance which focuses on the serious expression of inner emotions, using a free-flowing, interpretive style, rather than following the rigid rules characteristic of many dance disciplines. Many of its concepts come from the ideas and innovations of 20th century modern dance, including floorwork and turn-in of the legs. Challenging yet invigorating, this cumulative series gives dancers an introduction to contemporary choreography and routines combining the fundamental techniques of contemporary and other genres of dance such as jazz, lyrical, ballet and more. The class will be paced and specifically tailored to match the needs and requirements of those participating.Winnie Tay

Line Dancing Description
Our beginner line dancing classes are for those with no line dance experience or knowledge of basic steps and step patterns. The inexperienced dancer will learn basic steps used in short dances. Easy straight rhythm dances are taught at a slow pace using these basic steps. What is Line Dancing
Line dances are usually choreographed dances with a repeating series of steps that are performed in unison by a group of people in lines or rows, most often without the dancers making contact with one another. Dancers will face the same direction and perform the steps at exactly the same time. Because its steps are simple and don't involve dancing with a partner, line dancing is ideal for singles and people who don't normally dance.Jeamie Lee

Rather than focussing on choreography, students will understand isolations, connecting the different body parts and weight shifts, which will help in executing girls style choreography. You will be guided through a choreographed routine and the tools needed every week to develop stamina, execution, technique & confidence. This class is for those with little or no previous experience in dance and girl style.

Hatha Yoga Description
Hatha Yoga is a style that aspires to create a body, mind and spiritual union through your practice. This very grounded yoga also connects your spirit with the elements. The word “hatha” literally translates to sun (ha) and moon (ta). Like yin and yang, this practice is meant to help you find the balance within you. Hatha yoga is great for beginners because it’s meant to be preparatory in its foundation. Hatha yoga has quickly become the most popular type of yoga in the west because it builds strength and flexibility while still being “gentle” for most people. What To Wear

Modern Jazz Description
Jazz dance, although it often has a formal choreographic basis, is strongly emotional and improvisational. The way a jazz dancer reacts to the music or to the narrative in one performance will likely be different from her reaction in another, simply because her emotional response, which arises at the moment, will never be quite the same twice.Jeamie Lee

Choreography Description
Choreography is a mix of clean, up-to-date moves based on hip hop, house, jazz, tap, locking and popping to create challenging choreography that encompasses how the style has evolved. Some choreographers draw most of their influence from a single style such as hip hop, for example, while others explore fusions between different genres. Ultimately, the choreography you learn in this class will depend on the choreographer’s own style, experience and interpretation of the music (that’s what makes it so fun)! The overall focus is on having a good time while challenging yourself physically and mentally throughout this well-structured, fast-paced class.Pui Yee
